FALL YOUTH SAILING
Saturday Dinghy Sailing
EBSF's Fall Dinghy program is designed for confident Intermediate sailors and Opti Racers looking to sharpen their skills, build racing experience and practice Champ Fleet style racing in Optis and O'pen Bics.
Practices will focus on boat handling, starting tactics, rules and racing skills in a fun, competitive environment. Sailors will have the opportunity to put their skills to the test at the Halloween Howl Regatta at Sail Newport at the culmination of the season.
Program Details
Ages: 8-13
Experience: Sailors should have previous experience sailing Optis and O'Pen Bics and be confident sailing independently.
Program Dates
September 12 and Ending on October 31
Practice: Saturdays from 1:00 - 5:00 PM
Regatta: Sail Newport Halloween Howl - October 24 and 25, 9 AM - 5 PM
(regatta fees are not included fall registration)
2026 Fall Rates
Rates include the use of EBSF boats and equipment
Full Season: $300
Drop-In: $40 per session
4+ Sessions: Register for four or more individual sessions at once and receive a 5% discount at checkout

What to Bring
All sailors are required to provide their own Coast Guard approved PFD and wear it at all times during practice.
Fall sailing means changing conditions, so sailors should come prepared to be outside for four hours. Avoid cotton clothing, which stays wet and cold. Fleece, wool and technical sailing materials are best.
Recommended Gear:
Spray top or rain jacket
Foul weather pants
Wetsuit
Warm layers
Hat and gloves as conditions require
