420 Racing
This class is recommended for students of ages 12-18 who have mastered their sailing and seamanship skills. Students in this class will hone their boat handling and sail trim skills, and learn the strategies, tactics, and rules of racing. Racing requires good equipment, good technique, and a lot of practice. Experience and training is the name of the game. Racing students should expect to spend more time practicing in all weather conditions. Students in the 420 racing program may also have the opportunity to explore team racing and race against other clubs and sailing programs. In addition, they may have the opportunity to further their knowledge by assisting in the instruction of younger sailors in the program.

In an effort to build skills and team camaraderie, our race programs at EBSF are offered 3 days per week for 8 weeks. In addition to practice, team members will also be expected to participate in regattas around the bay and in Bristol. Our programs success over the past few seasons has caused our team to grow, and as a result we will be having an "A" and a "B" team for the 2012 season. Please visit our registration page to register for the 2012 season, and please indicate A or B team.
